Who i am?

A Poet’s Words

By John Kaniecki

If I was a sage
I’d say something wise
If I was the devil
I’d whisper sweet little lies
If I was a prophet
I’d tell of things to be
If I was your master
I’d set you free
If I was a singer
I would sing you a song
If I was a judge
I’d forgive you of your wrong
But I am just a poet
Simple and plain
So I won’t say anything
Because words are vain
